USC HIV/AIDS Interprofessional Internship

The HIV Interprofessional Education Program provides a unique learning opportunity for students from the School of Medicine, College of Social Work, College of Pharmacy, and College of Nursing to build an interprofessional learning experience around the complex care of Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). A layered model of practicing experts (ID physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and social workers) will oversee mini-teams of 5-6 learners using multiple teaching modalities, including focused didactics, small group discussion sessions or problem-based learning, along with hands-on learning with an emphasis on reflection.
