Our goal is to improve the quality and access to care of patients living or at risk for HIV through the provision of high quality professional education and training to health care providers in South Carolina.
Providing quality education to improve HIV care
To achieve our mission, the center provides training, education, consultation and clinical decision support to diverse health care providers, allied health care professionals and health care support staff on prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
HIV Preceptorships
The South Carolina HIV Clinical Training Center offers one-on-one experience in HIV care for healthcare professionals who are new to HIV/AIDS care, or desire skill updates or refreshers.
Interprofessional Education (IPE)
The HIV Interprofessional Education Program provides a unique learning opportunity for student from the School of Medicine, College of Social Work, College of Pharmacy and College of Nursing to build an interprofessional learning experience around the complex care of Persons Living with HIV.
